Taylor Rohde, a 6-foot-9, 230-pounder who will be a junior at Pinnacle High this year, has orally committed to play basketball at Arizona State. Rohde, arguably the top prospect in the 2008 class in Arizona, was a focal recruiting target of the Sun Devil staff almost immediately upon their arrival in Tempe.

"It's close to home and I wanted to stay close to home and it's in one of the best divisions, the Pac-10 and I just felt that it was a great place for me," Rohde said, immediately following the decision.

"ASU did a great job recruiting me. They came out to watch me at my school and later I went over on an unofficial visit and it went great. They basically showed me everything about their program and then after that I went on a second unofficial visit and coach Sendek showed me all that I could do in their program and I just wanted to be a part of it."
