Coach T. McFerrin and the sixth-ranked Jefferson Dragons and eighth-ranked East Jackson squared off at Memorial Stadium in Jefferson (Ga.) to see which team would go undefeated and which team lose for the first time. In a regular season finale of epic proportions, Jefferson showed why they deserved to win the 8-2A region championship for the second year in a row, beating the Eagles 35-21.
