Meadowcreek RB has ties to West Point

Norcross (GA) - The Meadowcreek football team hopes to accomplish something they haven't done in a while — win a game. The Mustangs have now endured 22 straight losses over the past three seasons.
Despite the team's losing streak, the Mustangs have one of the best running backs in the Peach State.

The 5-foot-8, 155-pounder recently traveled to the Volunteer state for a camp at Vanderbilt.
"I really liked the campus," said Thomas. "We got to work real close with the coaches. I think I did really good at showing my skills."
Vanderbilt is just one of many schools showing interest in Thomas. Stanford, Columbia, Navy, Air Force and Army are staying in touch, but only one of these schools may have the upper hand. Thomas has two brothers (Ronald Thomas-WR and Kevin Thomas-RB) that played at Army.
"I know a lot about West Point because two of my brothers graduated from there," he said. "My oldest brother Ronald, he holds a lot of records there for receiving and rushing. Both of my brothers came out of there making good money. They teach discipline, and they teach a lot about the values of life."
Thomas is still waiting for his first offer and four schools are at the top of his list.
"I like Army, Vanderbilt, Stanford and Wolford." he said.
Justin Thomas will be one of many talented prospects for Meadowcreek in 2006. Quarterback

"I just want us to compete in every game," said Thomas. "We haven't won a game in quite some time. I would like to be a part of history and win a couple of games this year. I would also like to get 2000 yards rushing."
A good student and athlete, Thomas carries a 3.3 GPA and 1500 on his SAT. He runs a 4.5 in the forty yard dash and was voted "Team MVP" last year by his teammates.
Thomas will a be attending camp this weekend at UAB.
